The Pride Porch Project began with a simple truth: queer adults deserve an easy, comfortable way to make friends. Not a swipe. Not a match. Not a sales pitch. Just a place to show up as yourself and connect with people who want the same thing — real friendship.
We imagined something more neighborly: a space that feels like a front porch at dusk — calm, safe, and full of possibility. No swiping. No pressure. No subscriptions. Just a free, welcoming place for queer adults and allies to gather.
We’re building this together, slowly and intentionally, because community grows best when it’s tended with care. Everyone has a seat on the porch — and if you choose to sit with us awhile, we’re honored to have you.

The International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia & Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) is observed every year on May 17 to raise awareness about the discrimination LGBTQ+ people continue to face worldwide. The date marks the 1990 decision by the World Health Organization to remove homosexuality from its list of mental disorders — a turning point in global LGBTQ+ rights.
Where Equality Feels a Little More Like Home
Every year on April 18, communities across the country recognize National Transgender HIV Testing Day — a day dedicated to raising awareness, expanding access to testing, and supporting the health and well‑being of transgender and nonbinary people. It’s a moment to highlight both the challenges and the strength within the trans community, and to make sure everyone has the information and care they deserve.
